At your appointment, you will receive a take-home kit to collect your semen sample three months and 20 ejaculations after your vasectomy.

Important guidelines:

Do not send samples early—they will not be processed.

Abstain from ejaculation for 2 days before collecting your sample.

Avoid using lotions, condoms, or any other bodily fluids during collection.

View the video above and follow the kit instructions closely to prepare your sample for shipping.

Mail the sample immediately after collection by dropping it off at the post office for prompt delivery.

 

Receiving your results:

Expect an email with a secure link to your results within two weeks of mailing your sample.

If you do not receive results within this timeframe, contact the lab at admin@vasectomyverify.com.

 

Next Steps:

Until no sperm is confirmed, you are still considered fertile and must continue using birth control.

If sperm are detected, continue birth control and repeat the test in 4 weeks.
