At your appointment, you will receive a take-home kit to collect your sample at home, 3 months and after 20 ejaculations following your vasectomy.

*Please note that samples sent in early will not be examined.

 

Be sure to follow the instructions in the kit closely and send it to the lab once you’ve completed the collection. The sample should be produced after a 2-day abstinence from ejaculation, and avoid using any lotions, condoms, or other bodily fluids.

 

You will receive an email with a secure link to your results within two weeks of mailing the kit. If you do not receive your results within that time frame, please reach out to the lab at admin@vasectomyverify.com. 

 

Until your semen analysis shows no sperm, you are still considered fertile and should continue using birth control. If sperm are seen, you will need to maintain birth control and repeat the sample 4 weeks later.
