If you're under 30 and have fewer than two children, please click here and read the information carefully before proceeding with your vasectomy.

Arrange for a separate driver to take you home after your vasectomy.

Carefully trim or shave the front side of your scrotum below the penis.

Please refrain from using aspirin for one week before your vasectomy and avoid alcohol on the day of the procedure. However, if aspirin is part of your regular prescribed medication, continue taking it as directed by your doctor.

Day of the procedure, take a shower and scrub the scrotum well with soap…if the scrotum is very tight, take a hot bath.

Make sure to have a light meal—avoid arriving on an empty stomach.

Plan ahead for a smooth recovery after your procedure. Recovery instructions.
Bring to your appointment:

Insurance card.

Photo identification card.

Payment. A reminder will be sent via text 3 days in advance.

Arrive wearing supportive underwear that holds up the scrotum. (i.e. tight briefs, athletic support, jock strap.)
